1/3/2023 0 Comments God of war ii![]() Turn back to Olympus, beast! I must face Zeus! YOU DEFY THE GOD OF WAR?!?!.A choice from the gods is as useless as the gods themselves.Do you see, gods of Olympus?! Do you need more proof than THIS?!.Chances are, Sony will never take a step like this, but by seeing Ori and the Will of the Wisps and Hollow Knight, and the praise that these titles have received, if Sony does go in this direction, it might change the spectrum forever and pull more people to 2D platformers than ever before. Yes, the team would have to work tirelessly on a supposed God Of War platformer, which might push other projects further, but the game that can be produced would be legendary. Another thing to note is one of the creators behind God of War, Cory Barlog, actually said that this is considered canon, so somewhere in the franchise, Kratos actually fought and lost to Shovel Knight. The video showcases a fight between Kratos and the Shovel Knight as the fight converges from one area to another. This has to be one of the greatest representations of Kratos out there, and since the creators behind God of War agreed to do a cameo in Shovel Knight, they can also make a stand-alone in this genre. If you need evidence, ask no more, as it already exists in a peculiar game, none other than Shovel Knight. It is pleasant to see experimentation from these companies, but what if Sony decided to jump in? Well, if it does, the God Of War franchise has the best chance of exceeding as a 2D platformer. However, since the team had little experience in 2D creation, the game mostly falls flat. ![]() Microsoft owns the franchise for the astounding and popular 2D game Ori and the Will of the Wisps, while Ubisoft decided to make Assassin’s Creed Chronicles, which is a 2D version of the franchise. However, what happens when large developers just want to make good games and not attract the market with trends? Well, we have two examples, Microsoft and Ubisoft. Well, considering content streaming platforms, like YouTube and Twitch, the most popular games there are shooters and open-world games, coupled with odd games like God Of War, which take the spotlight once in a while. So, if these titles have such areas of innovation, why don’t larger, more up-ranking developers go for them. Nonetheless, all of them get some things right. Dead Cells has the best combat ever made in a 2D game, but its long runs and instant kill attacks ruin the experience a bit. Blasphemous has a beautiful world and interesting bosses, but it is dulled by meaningless exploration. However, one aspect of the game was exemplary, and it was the 2D perspective.ĢD platformers have always been underrated yes, some are not as good as the last. GOD OF WAR II FREEThe team released free updates for months, coupled with it already being the “Holy Grail” of indie games because of how good it was it was destined for greatness. When Hollow Knight was released, it became a sensation. The spotlight usually goes towards these behemoths, but occasionally, an underdog steals the spotlight from under their noses. While Ubisoft goes forward with titles like Tom Clancy’s The Division, Guerrilla Games decided to be more unique with Horizon Forbidden West, and Sony went for God Of War. ![]() Of course, some experiment a little further. These days, large studios focus on huge open-world and shooter-based titles. ![]()
